Raul Martin Presa has twice in recent months rejected the chance to sell Rayo Vallecano, according to reports.
Isaac Fuoto, of Cadena Cope reported that after the Reus game at the weekend, a player’s agent came to the current Rayo owner and wanted to offer a proposal for the club; Presa would not listen.
It was also revealed that he had an offer a number of months ago of €80 million to sell the club but rejected that too.
Even if the club are relegated to Segunda B, Presa will not entertain the idea of selling the club as it has moved from being an economic issue to a matter of dignity as he refuses to bend to those asking him to sell the club.
The tension at the Estadio Vallecas is becoming increasingly more obvious and the General Director of the club, Luis Yáñez, was seen having a heated discussion with a fan who was holding up a scarf in the direction of the director’s box.
Yáñez was recording the incident and explained that the fan he was video-taping had called him a fascist. The director was clearly upset as the strain of the constants chants against the ownership look to be taking their toll on those in the palco.
